Drum sanders and wide belt sanders have become the industry standard for professional cabinet and furniture shops everywhere because, in one easy pass, the broad sanding surface on the belt or drum can flatten and smooth a far larger area, with greater uniformity, and in far less time than ordinary hand sanders.
